Suicide rate in the bipolar community is up to 20%
The highest suicide rate of all mental health conditions

Let's work together to reduce these numbers
Individuals affected by bipolar disorder are 10 to 30 times more likely to commit suicide than the general population, which is the highest among all mental health disorders. It is estimated that up to 60% of individuals affected by this disorder will attempt suicide, and that 20% of all bipolar individuals will take their own life. One of the main goals of BipoBetter is to reduce these numbers by providing clear information to improve the understanding of bipolar disorder not only to those directly affected but also to their loved ones and the public in order to reduce the stigma that often comes with mental health. It also provides tools to help manage the harmful symptoms that can come with this condition to improve the quality of life for everyone. Here are some resources for those who are haunted by these dark thoughts, or for a family member or friend who is close to someone who is experiencing suicidal thoughts. Let's all be on the right side of these statistics and make these numbers fewer and fewer. Let's not waste a minute and save lives together, pick up the phone and make the right choice, choose life.
